Co-curricular Activities (CCAs)
Discovery - Exploration - Challenge
The CCA programme at GESS offers around 50 CCAs (Co-curricular Activities) ranging from various sporting and artistic disciplines to social activities and natural sciences that reflect the school's diversity of talents and ideas.
These activities are considered part of the school's educational programme and therefore a large proportion is financed from school fees. The students have the possibility of joining one or two CCAs. They are given the opportunity to develop new talents or to build up existing strengths. The deliberate restriction to one or two CCAs per student leaves enough room for the students to concentrate on homework, test preparation or any other kind of regular educational requirement.
The fact that the CCAs are mainly financed from school fees allows a large variety of courses. However, there are limits to the number available and only those programmes supported by enough students will run. Please register your children early as places are limited in number. The CCA coordinators strive at fulfilling every child's wish offering alternatives should the chosen subject be fully booked. If need be, and after analyzing the situation and possible alternatives, places will be assigned by lot.
Please take the opportunity to find out more about the array of fascinating CCAs on offer and do register your children early within the enrollment period. This will enable us to get a general idea of those CCAs most favoured by the school community this academic year.
A course fee for each CCA is payable and invoiced per semester.
